“Participating in costuming can include wardrobe assistance backstage, dressing room setup, borrowing and returning costumes from outlying costume houses, wardrobe mistressing during the nights of the shows, gathering costumes during the off season, stitching hems and other alterations. The more the merrier and one can really have a blast!”
~Arnie Preston, Costume Designer

A collaboration with the director to obtain props needed for the production. Working on finding props helps the actors feel more the part, sets the scene, identifies a particular time and cultural setting. It Is really fun and satisfying to discover the perfect prop.

Personal props: Finding personal props that an actor may need to use on stage. ( Telephone, canes, candles, parasols, beverages etc/ anything an actor could or might pick up)

Set props: Participating in locating furniture items that are not built into the set.

Help Backstage is always needed. You can help prepare everything before the show, which includes props, scenery, lighting and sound. It’s a very satisfying job to support the Performers and Stage Managers with making the running of the show go smoothly.

A wonderful way to be of help as you greet and seat our fabulous audience members before the show. Your familiar face makes them feel like part of our family.

As a producer you are interfacing with the director, wardrobe, props and technical production team to assist in all their needs. You are the troubleshooters and problem solvers! You support the actors during their rehearsals, the run of the show and finally creating the cast party to celebrate. All the while keeping on budget of course! A fun responsibility requiring more than one producer. Guidelines available.

A wonderful opportunity to learn everything about directing, acting and producing. You are present for all rehearsals and performances and become the director’s right hand. You communicate scheduling with the actors, notate blocking, staging and the tracking of props and help with scene shifts. An important and rewarding job!
