About the Show

A trendy New York couple, Barbara and David, take the spotlight in this hilarious Broadway comedy about two art dealers and their crazy relatives. Their perfect life on Manhattan’s Upper East Side is disturbed when Barbara’s bossy sister, Trudy, her uptight CPA husband, Martin, and their overbearing Jewish mother, Sophie, arrive on their doorstep.

Trudy and Martin are rushing to Buffalo to save their precocious daughter from the horrors of college debauchery, dropping off Sophie like an Amazon delivery at Barbara and David’s door. In a short time, Sophie’s guilt-inducing style sends Barbara over the edge. But the sparks really fly when Sophie meets Maurice, the suave elderly artist who happens to be the gallery’s most famous painter. Can a hot, sexy romance happen at any age? SOCIAL SECURITY has the answer.
