About the Show
Our Town, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, is making a grande appearance on our island. Often hailed as the greatest play ever written, the stage manager guides the action through 12 years of the town’s daily life. You’ll experience love, marriage, death and eternity as 17 of RPP’s most talented actors, some new and others familiar, search for meaning in the everyday lives of their characters. This poignant play is a fully staged reading. Actors have scripts in hand, which allows them the opportunity to work on a major, costumed production without the constraints of memorizing. Brad Wages, director of last season’s Little Shop of Horrors, directs this season’s Our Town. It’s the one town you need to see!
