About Checkers the Clown
There will be plenty of fun and excitement with Checkers the Clown. A total family entertainer, Checkers is not your ordinary clown. He loves to bring joy and laughter to people of all ages. Some of his many talents include: Comedy, Magic, Juggling, Balloon Sculpting and Unicycling.
Checkers the Clown is a 1988 graduate of the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Clown College. He has done freelance work for Ringling Bros. and has performed on local and national television programs such as “CBS This Morning”. Checkers has entertained thousands of people from all walks of life!!!
About Diane Schmidt the Face Painter
A long time Venice resident Diane Schmidt has been a mainstay in the Venice art scene for over 35 years. She specializes in murals, landscapes, and occasionally in commercial art projects. Diane is often joined on her face painting adventures with daughters Raquel and Erin.
About Stevie Dee - Balloon Sculptor and Magician
Stevie Dee is a seasoned veteran in the field of Professional Magicians. His experience includes bookings for television, trade shows, restaurants, birthday parties and more. His clients include many major companies including Disney World, Publix and Nabisco.
Stevie thrills audiences with his amazing close up slight of hand illusions. He entertains all ages with both table to table and stage magic. His balloon folding is a hugh hit, especially with kids.
About The Amazing Steve
The Amazing Steve, aka Steve Finstead, is a graduate of the Ringling Bros. Clown College, formerly in Venice, and traveled with the Ringling Bros. Blue Show for years. He has skills in juggling, clowning and unicycle. He is a favorite with youngsters of all ages.
About Jim Chartier - Magician Extraordinare
Jim Chartier the Magician, has performed state shows across the United States and is a big hit in the corporate world. Jim does a “Magic for Children Show” which is both entertaining and educational. Jim is also a master of close-up magic with lots of tricks up his sleeve to awe and delight you.
About Michael Finley - Master Percussionist
Michael Finley is the most respected drummer in the state of Florida. He now performs with “Koko Ray and the Soul Providers” and the band “Something Famous”. Historically, Michael was the drummer in the pit for the Motown 25th Anniversary Show where the late great Michael Jackson first did the Moonwalk.
About Lori Chartier - Karaoke Queen
Lori Chartier the Karaoke Queen is also an experienced singer who encompasses many singing styles. Presently, she sings with the fabulous Englewood based band “East Street”. Lori also loves working with children doing “Karaoke for Kids”.
About Michael White - Caricatures
Michael White's caricatures and cartoons have delighted children and adults for 20 years. He completed his degree and now teaches Art at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota. Come find out what you will look like as a cartoon!!!
